What do we expect this week?  Today sees the launch of the government white paper on the future of the NHS, we wait to see what this means for the provision of offender health and social care services.  I guess this week could be themed around developing and improving networks.

Monday sees the prison healthcare managers from across the region meeting up to look at new opportunities and mutual support.  It also sees a key meeting on the provision of a health IT system in each prison. Hopefully we remain on track to have this implemented in every prison in the region by March 2011.

Tuesday sees an opportunity to work with 3rd sector organisations who support women in contact with the criminal justice system. Followed by a review of the criminal justice liaision service in Warwickshire.

Wednesday brings a development opportunity for prison GPs, they come together once a quarter to share ideas, practice.

Thursday brings a key day to complete a number of reports, we want to share our reports...
